EiE is a coalition of individuals and organizations committed to a culture of good governance and public accountability in Nigeria through active citizenship.
Following a couple of rallies in early 2010 led by activists, musicians, entrepreneurs, professionals and students to demand for a change in the power vacuum as a result of a Late President and to demand for transparency and end to corruption in the National Assembly, EiE was birthed.
On March 29, 2010, RSVP was coined - a program to sensitize Nigerians irrespective of ethnic, ideological, political and religious affiliation on the need to register, select, vote and protect (RSVP) their voting rights.
Over the years, we have effectively organized over 9 youth-focused political debates prior to elections. We have also developed innovative solutions to aid citizens in the process of protecting their votes - shineyoureye.org and revoda.org.ng.
In 2015, we launched the #OfficeOfTheCitizen Campaign, a initiative to convince Nigerian electorate of the great potential in making use of their rights and responsibilites as citizens - officeofthecitizen.com
